Hi I’m Steve, based in Scottish Borders. This is my second foray into campers, having had a T2 many years ago. Busy fitting out the interior at the moment, ready for spring/summer outings.
After 8 years travelling around and daily driving in homebuilt T4 camper I wanted to get into a Bay. I found this twin slider, UK RHD microbus in a barn in 2018. You'll see us at the Campers and Coffee meets, usually with a camera in one hand and a dog in the other!
glad to be apart of the Combe valley family :) after being introduced to you guys at your first event held at B road hunting club ! what great events that have been produced and looking forward to many more to come and helping along the way :)
this is my little project , if you want to see more head over to my instagram @th3blackp3arl , if it wasn’t for my brother @Sean Atherton owning one and persuading me to purchase One , I probably would’ve even thought about it.
it was always a dream of mine to own a T4 and I used that excuse to help get my wife into camping, with that i built a campervan that we can enjoy as a family,
im a mechanical engineer by trade so can put my hand to almost anything!
anything DIY I enjoy to be honest
im also apart of the Coffee and Campers crew hope to see at the next one :)
Hi, I'm Mat and I currently own a Viper green VW T4 that I purchased back in 2018. Although it's my first campervan, I've been modifying VW's since before I could drive so looked forward to a new project. I've been slowly working my way through maintaining it and improving it as well as fixing the bits I wasn't happy with or had been done to a standard I didn't agree with. Had lots of help from Leigh and many others along the way and will continue to do so I imagine. It's already booked in to have a side opener fitted in a couple of months and I'll be having a refit inside in the meantime as well as trying to gain a few extra bhp and a few less mm's in ride height along the way. Enough waffle though, look forward to reading more about folk on here. Oh, are there going to be any of the peaked beanies back in stock before its too warm to get away with wearing one please, lol. ATB Mat
Hi all, This feels like a school disco- so I'll go first and get on the dance floor. My name is Ryan and I work with Leigh and the team at Combe Valley Campers. My working background has always been in sales but over the last couple of years I have enjoyed getting back behind a camera and on the workshop floor. I don't own a van at present but I have plans.... I have built a few Vdubs over the years but mainly of the golf/jetta variety. Anyways, Enough about me- over to you lot.
